EFA WA E-News January 3rd, 2008

  HAPPY NEW YEAR FOR 2008!

The Staff and Committee of the Equestrian Federation of Australia, WA Branch would like to wish all our members a Happy New Year and wish you all success with your equestrian pursuits in 2008.  We would also take this opportunity to sincerely THANK our sponsors for their invaluable support during 2007, wish then a bright 2008 and we look forward to working with them to encorage and enhance equestrian sports in WA.

The EFA WA office will be open again on Monday January 7th.

We have certainly had some hot weather over the holiday break and we trust that this will not deter you from entering either of the Summer Series.  These series have been created to introduce and encourage young horses and riders to equestrian sports in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.  From here young horses and riders graduate to EFA events and the popularity of both series in the past has given our sport has seen a long term benefit of a steady rise of numbers of members and horses during and post Summer Series events.   So, don't miss the opportunity this year.  Both the dressage and the showjumping have events for beginners throught to the more experienced.

These sponsors include  Western Australian Department of Sport & Recreation, our Principal Partner and

We would like to wish each and every one of them, their Families and Staff, a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year and look forward to having them back on board again next year.

Which are WA’s Top Trails ?

The West Australian Horse Council is assisting the Department of Sport and Recreation to conduct a survey as to which are the Top 10 Trails in Western Australia through its on-line magazine Outdoors WA O-zine.

They are looking for WA’s Top Trails – and invite you to nominate the trails that you believe provide the best experiences across the State for visitors.

If you had a friend coming to WA for a few days – which trail would you recommend that would provide them with a memorable and enjoyable experience?

The top trails as nominated by users of the trails will be promoted to potential visitors to the state from across the world.

Horse Riding, Walking, bike, canoe, snorkel, dive and drive trails are all eligible to be included.
