Hello Everyone, Apologies to anyone who is receiving this blast for the third time, but today our server went down each time I tried to send it out and cut out halfway through the database. So here goes ......hopefully third time lucky! Beautiful weather and great showjumping is on offer over the next two weekends with the CVW Group Showjumping Gala at Serpentine this weekend and the Jump WA World Cup program at the SEC next weekend. Brooker, Swan River horse Trials are pleased to announce that the event on October 20th/21st 2007 at Brookleigh Equestrian Estate has been granted special dispensation from the FEI to conduct a CIC 1*, 2* and 3*due to the cancellation of events in the Eastern States. Thanks to the kind sponsorship of Wendy and John McLeod there will also be a CICJ*. All riders in FEI classes must remember to be FEI registered. CVW Group Gala Showjumping Weekend October 13 & 14 - Programme
The Smithbrook Wines showjumping derby will take place on the 28th of Oct. at the Smithbrook vineyard near Manjimup. This will be Derby number 6 and as in previous years it will be an invite only event, with competitors being selected by the Southern Forest Showjumping committee. Classes will be limited to 25 starters, the first class being the junior A2 at about 110cm, followed by open speed, the C&D grade derby, then the open Derby which this year will offer a $1000 bonus to be shared by those competitors who finish the 1st round with no faults, hence the track will be a little more challenging than in past years. The day will end with open puissance which will also offer a $1000 bonus to be shared by the riders who set a new puissance record which now stands at 190cm. Prize money for the day now stands at $10,000 spread over the 4 main events. Invites will be issued late sept. with more info for the day.
Tempo Cancelled The 2007 ISS-Tempo CSI-W Show to be held at The Sydney International Equestrian Centre, 7-9 December, 2007 has been cancelled due the Equine Flu outbreak.

Spring Dressage Festival and Go for 2&5 Associate Championships, 13-14th October. We still need lots of volunteers. If you enjoyed your time with us at the States then please contact Nadine or the EFA WA Volunteer Coordinator at the office and put your name down. Classes include Indoor finals, Associate Championships, Open classes, Freestyles (FEI if required), PCAWA, Adult Riders and Europa Saddleworld Freestyle Finals. There will be 3 eastern states visiting judges and great prizes. All Europa Saddleworld Freestyle Finalist enter the relevant freestyle level on the programme. Please note: All competitors must complete the Horse Event Participation Declaration form located on the EFA website before they arrive at the competition. These will be collected at the gates of the SEC. Horse Swimming Beach Hi Everyone, I'm sending out this last email to make sure that everyone has the good news. Council voted on Sept 25th to retain the status quo - no extension to the dog beach (submissions ran 2 - 1 against extending) and against time restrictions on the the horse beach ( 5 - 1 against ). They had never seen so many responses to an issue - around 650. Thanks to you all for taking the time to make a difference and enjoy our beautiful beach! Cheers Brian

Warning to SEC visitors. Please keep an eye on your belongings at Events as there was a reported Break in again last Saturday evening! A car window was smashed and a bag stolen by vandals seen driving off in a small red hatchback.
