EFA WA EI Update No 6 - Friday August 31st.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EFA MEMBERS COMPETING THIS WEEKEND.

GIDGEGANNUP ONE DAY EVENT

FEI and EFA Vet Dr Warwick Vale has asked that all competitors riding at the Gidge ODE please bring their horses to the grounds between 7.00am and 12.00 on Saturday so that they can be checked by the veterinary team. Al horses have to be checked and signed off before they will be allowed to compete.  Please get to the grounds with plenty of time as 251 horse will take quite some time to process Thank you in advance for you patience

 

PERTH H & PC FATHERS DAY SHOWJUMPING GALA

The organisers have been ordered by the EFAWA to take the temperature of all horses coming on to the grounds and complete a preliminary vet check prior to any horse being free to compete.  To this end we have arranged for a Veterinary team of 6 people to be on hand first thing in the morning to undertake this task.  We would ask that upon arrival you please follow the directions of the officials and with your cooperation this task will be undertaken as quickely as possible. Please take your horses temperature before leaving home and leave any horses with high temperatures (over 38.5), a persistent cough or nasal discharge at home.

Please also Note: There is NO hay permitted on the Perth Horse and Pony Club Grounds

Federal Government provides $4 million for Equine Influenza fund
The Australian Government has established a $4 million fund to provide emergency grants to individuals suffering financial difficulty as a result of the Equine Influenza (EI) outbreak.
